For the last two years, I have been thinking a lot about new ways of interacting with web pages. I haven't found any awesome idea yet, but I think you might find some interesting things in the prototypes I developed.
Here are some of the projects I have been working on the last few years. These are only unfinished prototypes, demonstrating the global idea of one concept.
I did not go through the tinkering and publishing steps because most of these concepts need to be integrated in an existing website with sufficient visibility to have any chance of success. And let's face it, I prefer spending time looking for new ideas than wasting time on some specific idea!
If you want to discuss about one of these prototypes, you can email me at zebrian at gmail dot com :-)
This application represents an idea I had about how to navigate through pictures. Indeed most of the time, people are only allowed to use "next" and "previous" buttons which are not very flexible. The idea here is to display pictures randomly (I only used 5 in this example, but there should be hundreds), you can choose the direction where you want to go whether by clicking on one particular picture or by using the arrow keys of your keyboard.
This application may be slow on your computer. It was developed with JavaScript although this kind of application is more likely to be developed with Flash. Once again the goal was only to show the concept, and not to make a powerful and usable tool ;-)
